The history of AEL

The head office of AEL is located in Leisnig in Saxony. This are the most important milestones in the development of our company:

1958FoundationFoundation as VEB Apparatebau und Eisengießerei Leisnig; main product: machine parts made of cast iron.
1965Heat exchangerHeat exchanger are included in the product range in addition to casting products.
1991Change of nameFollowing the political Change and Reunification, the company is converted to a limited liability company (GmbH).
1996PrivatisationThe managing directors Erhard Münch and Lothar Naumann purchase the company, which is now called AEL.
1998System technologyAEL begins with the manufacture of oil supply systems.
2002InvestmentConstruction of two new production halls.
2004Product innovationThe first shell and tube heat exchanger with plate-fin bundle is developed.
2011Change in managementSebastian Münch succeeds his father, Erhard Münch. Mario Richter is appointed as the third managing director.

2013New foundationFoundation of the ANA Prozesstechnik GmbH; specialised in vacuum technology.
2015Taking overTaking over of employees from MAG (MWL Apparatebau GmbH Grimma).
2016Management systemIntroduction of an integrated management system for the entire production process. Increasing international focus of the company.
2017AcquisitionIncrease in production capacity via the acquisition of the production halls of the former MAG in Grimma
